TLDR: Superheroes weeks are underway at Crayola Experience's Halloween season at Mall of America. Monsters & Magic takes over Oct. 20, and the attraction now says the season runs through Nov. 1. Everything is included with a regular $30.99 ticket.

Crayola Experience at Mall of America is in the middle of its Superheroes weeks, the second of 3 themed stretches in its Screamin' Green Hauntoween season. Superheroes runs through Oct. 19, and Monsters & Magic starts Oct. 20. The mall's events calendar ends the listing on Saturday, Oct. 31, but the attraction's own calendar says the season, and the Monsters & Magic stretch, runs through Sunday, Nov. 1. That means the day after Halloween counts too.

The mall calls it "spooky family fun full of holiday happenings." In practice that means a themed scavenger hunt, Halloween crafts and photo-ops, added on top of the attraction's 20-plus hands-on activities. It's mostly crayons and glue sticks, so it skews more cute than creepy, which is probably what you want if your trick-or-treater is still in the single digits. The attraction is at 2131 Lindau Lane, and the mall's calendar put the season's start on Monday, Sept. 14.

The themes rotate on a set schedule. Princesses & Pirates ran Sept. 19 through Oct. 4, and Superheroes took over Oct. 5. If your kid has strong opinions about capes versus monsters, plan your visit around those dates.

The attraction's calendar also lists a Toddler Tuesday on Oct. 13 from 10 to 11 a.m., with Halloween crafts, story time and attractions geared to toddlers. It doesn't say whether that hour costs extra, so ask before you count on it. The posted hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The earlier version of this story noted that neither mall listing gave hours, and those times are what the attraction has posted since.

Here's what it costs. The mall's ticket page says all the Hauntoween activities come with general admission, which is $30.99. An annual pass is $49.99, so it pays for itself on your second visit. It also works at every Crayola Experience location and takes 20% off food and merchandise, which matters if you want to catch more than one theme. A combo ticket with SEA LIFE is $38.99. The mall also sells multi-attraction bundles that include a day of unlimited Nickelodeon Universe rides, from $59.99 for a 2-pack up to $99.99 for a 5-pack. Kids 2 and under don't need a ticket.
