1.53 Inches Later, Sunshine Takes Over Through Monday

TLDR: Thursday's rain at MSP put a dent in the lawns and gardens — now Bloomington dries out under a run of sunny, 80s days into next week.

National Weather ServiceBloomington forecast

MSP logged 1.53 inches of rain yesterday, with the high stuck at 76° and the low at 64° — a soaker of a day, the kind that fills up ditches and leaves standing water in the low spots at parks like Hyland and Bush Lake for a day or two.

That's done. Overnight lows around 62° with patchy fog are the last soft edge of it — watch for hazy visibility early if you're out before sunrise. After that, the pattern flips hard toward summer.

Saturday goes sunny and 84°, with light north winds around 5 to 10 mph — a genuinely good day for the trails or the pool. Saturday night stays mild near 62° under mostly clear skies.

Sunday holds the streak at 82° and sunny, dipping to 63° overnight. Monday pushes back up to 83°, still sunny, with south-southeast winds picking up a bit to 5-15 mph.

Net effect for the weekend: soggy ground drying out fast under sun and warmth, and four straight days without a drop of rain in the forecast. Good stretch to get mowing done, dry out gear, or just be outside — MSP flight ops shouldn't see any weather-driven delays with this kind of run.
