Rugrats Head to Nickelodeon Universe This Weekend for Character Meet and Greets

TLDR: Tommy, Chuckie and the rest of the Rugrats crew are making park-wide appearances at Mall of America's Nickelodeon Universe through Sunday as part of a summer-long "Rewind" lineup of throwback characters.

Mall of America has added "Nickelodeon Summer Rewind Character Meet and Greets!" to its events calendar, running Friday, July 17, through Sunday, July 19, park-wide at Nickelodeon Universe.

This weekend's stop features the Rugrats gang, part of a broader summer push at the indoor theme park pairing classic Nickelodeon characters with new rides and events. It follows a June 20-21 weekend that brought out Jimmy Neutron, Cosmo and Wanda, and other nostalgia favorites for similar meet-and-greet sessions, and it's followed by a Hey Arnold weekend later this month.

A Hey Arnold meet and greet is set for July 25-26, with Arnold Shortman appearing Saturday at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nickelodeon Universe is also introducing a new ticketed PAW Patrol character experience this summer, hosted in the pink building next to the LEGO store, with tickets running $19.99 and an optional 3-hour park wristband add-on for $14.99.

The Rugrats appearances are park-wide, meaning families can catch the characters while walking through Nickelodeon Universe rather than needing a separate ticket for the meet and greet itself. Exact times weren't listed for this weekend's Rugrats stop, and the park notes that character appearances and schedules are subject to change, so it's worth a quick check with guest services or the park's events page before heading over.
