Northwestern Health Sciences University is inviting the public to check out its campus at 2501 W. 84th St. this Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of its Discovery Day open house.

The event is built for people weighing a career in natural and integrative health care. Visitors can sit in on live demonstrations and interactive sessions covering the school's chiropractic, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, massage therapy, radiation therapy and radiologic technology programs, plus take a campus tour.

Northwestern Health Sciences University runs Discovery Days throughout the year as its main recruiting event, with a typical schedule opening with a welcome session in the auditorium before splitting into program-specific talks, demonstrations, admissions info and lunch. The school is dangling an incentive for anyone who shows up and applies soon after: a waived $50 application fee, plus the chance at scholarships worth up to $1,000 depending on the program, and travel reimbursement for some chiropractic and acupuncture students.

Prospective students who want to register or get program-specific schedules can reach the university's admissions office at 952-885-5409 or admit@nwhealth.edu.
